Teamour Bagwaddles 5.0 out of 5 stars I wish all things had this level of build. Also, the pictures on the box look like some dudes are very painfully crapping their pants, which made me lol and brought a nuanced level of joy to the product experience.Previously I had been using just a run-of-the-mill power strip, and never thought about power clarity making a difference in sound quality. Right off the bat my input signals seem more stable than before, as well as a noticeable clarity difference. I was skeptical at first but I can honestly say this power unit makes a difference. It's subtle, but it's there. I should also note that my old interface (Scarlett 18i8) died after only four years of use, which was not powered by a unit made for pro audio. After much research I'm convinced the crappy power supply method I was using previously contributed to my interface dying earlier than expected. I'm hoping that this unit will add longevity to my newer interface. Bottom line, it seems like a steal at the price. I will never run my gear without one of these in the future. The surge protection also adds a bit of peace of mind which is always nice to have.Eight ports, for grounded plugs, on the back. 15 Amp circuit breaker. Functioning properly indicator light. Rack mount. Small footprint. Great product! Buy it!!!Good positioning of the plugs. I am super happy with this unit. I am using this for music recording and was having difficulty getting everything powered up safely and without having to hit 20 switches when I was done. Thanks to this wonderful unit, I can power my whole system down with one switch. The position of the plug-ins are super logical. They fit quite a few spots, while still give you 3 spots for wall warts. In addition, I have a plug at the front that has been wonderful for testing new stuff or old stuff that has been sitting around. No need to squeeze behind everything to plug in.

Unfortunately I have the an old house that send out crazy amounts of 60 cycle hum, I did notice that it is less now when using my tube amps but I am bad judge because my house is just wired so poorly it's always going to have noise.I have a client in a small town and whether it the small town or something in the old building, something in the electricity was killing networking equipment, a computer, and several other peripherals every few months. I had to replace many pieces of networking equipment (mostly routers and switches) and several workstations and other peripherals to the tune of a few thousand dollars over the course of a couple years and couldn't figure out what was happening. After consulting several experts who had no explanations, I decided to try one of these to see if it would help and I haven't had to replace anything in the last two and a half years. It costs a bit more now but is still completely worth it if you're having RF or EM (radio frequency or electromagnetic) interference in your electricity. Obviously, this won't fix everything in the world, but if you have RF or EM interference in your power, this could be a real life saver for you too. For any wondering, I had a reputable brand UPS (uninterruptible power supply) in use the entire time and it did not solve the issue. To both condition everything and keep it all battery backed up, I plugged the conditioner into the UPS and plug devices into the conditioner. Works like a charm to both clean up the power and keep everything online when the power blinks out.So far, so good. I have a few pro-audio units hooked-up to it. To test it out, I've tried using unbalanced TS cables, which, invariably makes ground loops hiss and hum intrude in a very obvious fashion on any recording. The Furman has kept my gear quiet at normal use levels. I'm no engineer, but I can say it works.

Empirical observations may not tell all, and some gear-heads might come up with numbers and charts saying different, but in my use case, I'm considering this to be a sound investment. This unit is built super tough - although would be nice if the edges weren't so sharp (almost cut myself on it). Sockets are well built and holds plugs in. Front power switch is solid and gives a reassuring click when flipped on. Unfortunately was not able to resolve the white noise issue I had with my monitors, but unrelated to this product! In my signal chain I have a few high quality pedals. I also tried it with my KRK monitor speakers and my Audio Technica LP120 turntable. In all cases, I didn't notice any difference. There's lots of earth noises coming out of my equipment due to building electrical wiring. It doesn't cut any of that. It also doesn't cut static noise or RF noises.Esta disenado para quienes no requieren mas que filtrar la senal electrica y proteger sus dispositivos contra sobrecargas y picos electricos. Install an M-8Dx into the top slot of your rack, and the eight switched outlets in the rear panel will power up and protect all your equipment up to a 15-amp load. The M-8Dx features two slide out, swiveling light fixtures to provide discreet illumination of your equipment on stages, in studios, and in other dark places. A dimmer knob lets you adjust the lamp brightness to just the right level. The M-8Dx also features a bright red, three-digit LED voltmeter that displays incoming voltage. You're going to plug that into the wall. DigiReviews 5.0 out of 5 stars The product is made very well, the plug spacing is more than adequate. You won't be sorry you added this to your setup!I plugged it in and immediately the lights come on, which has a dimmer and an ON LED. What is well thought out is the outlet on the front of the interface. The back has several outlets but they have spaced out 3 of them because it appears that all manufacturers of equipment cannot make up their minds on what type of adapter to use for power and causes loss of outlets in power strips. Two issues: 1. The front outlet is switched.

It really wish it were unswitched--there are already plenty of switched outlets on the back. 2. The lights aren't very bright. The dimmer is there to reduce the lights' brightness, so why not make the bulbs brighter since we can turn it down, anyways? The only issue I have is the lights bulbs (which were not broken) do not work that you can dim. The rest of the quality is solid. One read about 2VAC above my digital meter, the other read 3VAC above the digital meter. So side by side one would read 117VAC and the other 118VAC. Annoying that I cannot calibrate the meter. Otherwise it seems very well made, it looks good and is easy to install in the rack. I especially appreciate the one socket on the front. Very handy.Just plug everything into this power conditioner and enjoy clear, clean sound!Even better would be to have standard IEC outlets like the Australian and European models have.I have a small shop and will be doing a lot of welding around big servers. I wanted a device to get rid of some of the high frequency transients that will be present on the input power going to my servers. I tried taking it apart just to get a look at the guts, but they use very odd philips head screws that I couldn't get out. There are two pull out lights which are extremely silly. The lights themselves are old incandescent bulbs with the small Edison screw identical to what you would find in your grandmother's chandelier. The LED voltage display is slightly better than you-have-power or you-do-not-have-power. I tried injecting various signals into the live and neutral legs of the plug that goes to mains to see what happens. Even at 100 Hz square wave, you can easily see there's some capacitance at work because the leading edge of the squarewave is strongly clipped. There's no real amplitude attenuation at that frequency, but still good to see that there are real components inside instead of an empty box.

As the frequency increases approximately 2-3 dB attenuation has kicked in just about 1 kHz. The attenuation continues to increase, as expected, as the frequency goes higher with the exception of a weird resonance right around 60 kHz. There's a definite spike in signal amplitude on both of the units I purchased right at 60 kHz, so I hope that's not a frequency you need to filter out because it quite effectively passes this straight on through. Otherwise this unit does as advertised, it very effectively squashes incoming transients, starting to kick in around 10 kHz. I did NOT test the MOV, but really who cares. MOVs are so cheap and ubiquitous that there's almost guaranteed to be on in there. Now please keep in mind that I did NOT test power to ground. I may do that at a later time, but as it stands that's not something the device claims to do. So there you have it. It attenuates a bit at 10 kHz, pretty much flatlines incoming signals at 100 kHz, and there's a weird resonance at 60 kHz so beware. And the lights are stupid. They work beautifully making this a great addition to my rack. I am very happy I went with this unit and not one of the lesser models. The LCD screen is also nice to have showing me the voltage in real-time. I am quite happy with my purchase. To be honest, I only purchased this unit for the empty space I would have had in my rack and it ended up being a necessary addition that I should have been considering early on in the build. I have emailed numerous sellers on this “issue” and have not received a response just yet. I will update this section with the answer once it is given to me as I feel this is relatively important to know.In fact, even my dayton DSP-408 cannot be plugged in it or it will add a big background noise. I in fact found that was the furman that was doing the ground loop. Found it too far from the return timeline sadly. It's for USA that's the reason I returned it.
